NetConnect Germany to tender gas amounts for the supply of extraterritorial networks via the Netherlands

NetConnect Germany GmbH & Co. KG (NCG) is again inviting bids for the provision of gas for the supply of extraterritorial networks served by the German-Dutch cross-border interconnection points (IPs) Dinxperlo and Haanrade for the delivery period from 1 April 2019 up to and including 31 December 2019 (commencing and ending on the corresponding gas days). This new tendering round does not affect the earlier tendering process NCG conducted for the supply of gas at the IPs Dinxperlo and Haanrade as well as at the IP Tegelen, also on the German-Dutch border, for the delivery periods from January 2019 up to and including March 2019 and from November 2018 up to and including March 2019, respectively.

At the start of June 2018, NCG had opened a gas tender for the above extraterritorial networks in which indicative bids were requested for two separate lots (with Lot A comprising the supply of gas at all three IPs in the delivery period from 1 November 2018 up to and including 31 March 2019 in the case of Tegelen and in the delivery period from 1 January 2019 up to and including 31 March 2019 in the case of Dinxperlo and Haanrade and Lot B comprising the supply of gas at the two IPs Dinxperlo and Haanrade in the delivery period from 1 April 2019 up to and including 31 December 2019). The current re-run for the delivery period from April 2019 forward (Lot B) is being conducted in light of new information that has become available with respect to the introduction of a so-called “virtual interconnection point” (VIP) regime on the relevant border. As has recently been announced by Gasunie Transport Services B.V. (GTS), VIP arrangements will not be implemented until the first quarter of 2020. In view of this development NCG can now accept bids for Lot B on the same conditions as were initially specified for Lot A.

Interested suppliers are asked to submit indicative bids to NCG between 25 July and 2pm on 8 August 2018.
