With
effect from 1 October 2016, the reporting, disclosure and settlement
rules prescribed by the monthly settlement of imbalances in network
operators' network balancing accounts by a regime which involves the
daily financial settlement of imbalances in network operators' network
balancing accounts (
Netzkontenabrechnung).
The new
rules were introduced to achieve the following objectives: to improve
the quality of allocations that are calculated based on standard load
profiles, to reduce imbalances in network operators' network balancing
accounts, primarily by improving data quality and making data transfers
more reliable, to reduce the need for system balancing actions.
