In accordance with the ruling issued by the German federal regulator Bundesnetzagentur on 21 December 2016 (ref BK7-16-050), the market area manager NetConnect Germany publishes information about the quantities and prices relating to the technical measures it takes to physically convert gas of one gas quality to another.
The publication of the preliminary data is made on a daily basis, the publication of the final data is made after the availability of all final data. Please note that the publication of the preliminary and final data is performed in two separate tabular displays.
Gas is converted technically (both from high calorific value quality to low calorific value quality and vice versa) according to technical feasibility in the Werne and Scheidt mixing plants operated by the transmission system operator Open Grid Europe GmbH, and in the Broichweiden mixing plant operated by the transmission system operator Thyssengas GmbH. The costs for operating the above mixing plants are included in the transportation tariffs charged by Open Grid Europe GmbH and Thyssengas GmbH, which means that the conversion activities do not generate additional costs that would need to be recovered by means of the conversion fee.
Further information regarding the conversion publications of NetConnect Germany are provided here.
